Many of you are about to begin a career in education as a professional
teacher working in
K12 public and private schools. You will be under increasing pressure to provide Internet access to
all students, but significant risks are involved. The Internet is rife with content inappropriate for viewing by young and impressionable students—certainly in primary and secondary education settings. The link below offers a brief overview of the horrific images that are profuse and readily available on the Internet, often presented aggressively in an attempt to subvert our most precious resource—our children. Although all educators should be aware of these threats, please do not click through unless you are a mature adult who is not easily shaken.
